Cova del Dofí (Illes Medes)
Located in the south of Meda Petita, Dofí Cave is the most famous dive site in the Medes Islands, offering an exciting variety of caves to explore and marine wonders that will leave you breathless. In the Dofí Cave you will find an air chamber 10 meters away perfect for taking a break and marveling at the uniqueness of this place; a short cave 12 meters from the south side, famous for the impressive rays of light that cross its holes and the small statue of dolphins at the entrance; and a long cave 18 and 20 meters deep, an exciting challenge for the most experienced divers.
With a maximum depth of 23 meters, the Dofí Cave is accessible and exciting for both beginners and advanced divers. What will you be able to see?
Divers can dive into exciting caves, including a cave 12 meters short with impressive rays of light and a statue of dolphins, and a long cave 18 and 20 meters long. The most advanced divers can enter the cave enjoying impressive backlights, while less experienced divers can enjoy the entrance of the cave and an unparalleled environment, enjoying gorgonias, groupers, lobsters, moray eels, schools of fish and many other fish species characteristic of the “natural park of Montgrí, Illes Medes and Baix Ter”.
